Jun 28, 2011 This shop cranks out some of the highest quality engines on the East Coast and the shop is so clean you could eat off the floor. They build/rebuild race engines for domestic and foreign cars and specialize in Subaru. When I was over there last week, they had 5 Subaru engines in for rebuild. They have video links to some of their Subaru builds on their site. They have been very helpful during my build, even catching some previous head machining errors from a former machine shop's build (heads were not chambered properly for adequate flow to compensate for oversized pistons & stroker kit). I'd highly recommend them for any engine work that requires tear down. http://blogs.courant.com/autoracing/2011/06/high-five-season-long-mini-sto.html#more June 16, 2011 - THOMPSON - The competition in the Mini Stock field at Thompson International Speedway has spent all season trying to catch up to Danny Field. And even with Thompson Speedway officials trying to help the competition to do that, there's seems to be no slowing the Deep River driver. For the fifth time in five events this season it was Field easily running away with victory in the 15-lap Mini Stock feature Thursday at Thompson Speedway. Thompson officials made Field add 25 pounds to his car after his third win and another 25 after his fourth win, though nobody seems to be making any headway in catching him. "We had to add 50 pounds because we keep winning and now it's going to be another 25 pounds. But this car is fast. We got bumped around a little bit out there but I just decided I was going to set sail and go." Tyler Poulin of Pascoag, R.I. was second and Lou Bellisle III of Lisbon third. Field passed Nathan Taylor for the lead on a lap five restart and led the rest of the way. He said he never expected to open the season with so much success. "But I knew the car was going to be real fast," Field said. "We built a new motor for this year and [Larry's Auto Machine] put a ton of time into the new motor. They didn't leave anything out. They got it the best they could possibly get it. I owe those guys a lot."
